The Grandstream GRP2612P is the PoE model of the entry desk phone in Grandstream's GRP2600 carrier-grade family — the phone built for the everyday desk that needs a color screen, proper line keys, and a one-cable install, deployed a few at a time or by the hundreds.

Four dual-color line keys support up to 4 SIP accounts, and the line keys can be digitally programmed as up to 16 virtual multi-purpose keys for BLF and fast-dial coverage of the people and lines a user watches most. A 2.4-inch color LCD (320 x 240) keeps call status and soft-key actions in front of the user, and 5-way audio conferencing is built in for quick group calls without a conference bridge.

Sound is HD wideband on the handset and the full-duplex speakerphone, with support for the major voice codecs including G.722 and Opus. An RJ9 headset jack with EHS support covers wired headsets, including Plantronics models with the appropriate EHS cable.

The install is the reason to pick the P model: dual switched 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports with integrated PoE (802.3af) carry power and data over a single cable, with a pass-through port for a PC at the same desk. Two things to know before ordering: the ports are Fast Ethernet, not Gigabit — Gigabit is the separate GRP2612G variant — and this wired model has no built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, which are features of the GRP2612W variant. A power adapter is not included with the GRP2612P; it is powered by PoE, or by a 5V adapter sold separately for desks without PoE.

For administrators, the GRP2612P was designed for mass deployment: zero-touch provisioning and centralized configuration, monitoring, and firmware management through Grandstream's GDMS platform, secure boot, dual firmware images, and encrypted data storage. The swappable faceplate lets a business or service provider put its own logo on every phone in the rollout.
