The Fanvil X5U is the busy-desk phone in Fanvil's XU enterprise line — built for managers, team leads, service desks, and reception support who need a lot of lines in view without stepping up to a full operator console.

Two color screens do the work. A 3.5-inch main display carries 4 line keys with LED indicators, and a 2.4-inch side display carries 6 DSS keys that page through to 30 DSS assignments for busy-lamp field, speed dial, and one-touch transfers. The phone handles 16 SIP lines and 6-way audio conferencing, so a small group call can start from the desk without a conference bridge.

Sound is HD wideband on the handset and the full-duplex speakerphone, with support for the G.722 and Opus codecs. Headset options cover the range: built-in Bluetooth 4.2 for wireless headsets, EHS support for wireless headsets with the appropriate EHS cable, and a wired RJ9 headset port. Wi-Fi is available through an optional Fanvil WF20 USB Wi-Fi dongle where no network drop exists.

A standard wired install runs on dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with integrated PoE — power and data over a single cable, with a bridged pass-through port for the desk PC. It is a standards-based SIP phone that auto-provisions for fleet rollouts via FTP/TFTP/HTTP/HTTPS, DHCP Option 66, SIP PNP, and TR-069. The two-position desk stand adjusts to 45 or 50 degrees, and the phone is wall-mountable with an optional bracket.
