The CyberData 011394 is a ceiling-mount SIP speaker that does two jobs at once: it plays pages and announcements across your phone system, and — with talk-back enabled — it lets someone in the room answer back in a full-duplex, two-way conversation. That makes it a natural fit for classrooms, offices, medical facilities, and clinics, where a page often needs a reply and nobody should have to walk to a phone to give one.

Installation is a single cable. The speaker runs on Power over Ethernet (802.3af or 802.3at) over a standard 10/100 Ethernet connection, so power and audio arrive on the same drop, and its shallow can and 9-inch grille sit discreetly in a ceiling. Output scales with the power it is fed: 103 dB at one meter on 802.3af, and 105 dB on 802.3at for larger or noisier rooms. Ambient noise compensation measures the room and adjusts the speaker volume to match, and a built-in audio health check can be scheduled or run on demand so IT can confirm a speaker works before anyone reports that it does not.

On the network side, the 011394 is a standards-based SIP endpoint (RFC 3261) that registers to most IP PBX and hosted platforms, and it handles simultaneous SIP and multicast paging — including Poly group paging — so one announcement can reach many speakers at once. Calls are protected with TLS 1.2, SRTP, and HTTPS configuration, and provisioning and management run through the web interface with autoprovisioning support. A built-in relay (1A @ 30 VDC), support for an optional auxiliary analog speaker to extend coverage, an optional Remote Call Button that lets a room initiate a call to a preset extension, and strobe-kit connections round out a speaker built for real paging systems, not just announcements.

Note: No power supply is included — the speaker is powered by PoE from a PoE switch or injector port. Remote Call Button, auxiliary analog speaker, and strobe kits are sold separately.

Mounting option: Installing in a drop ceiling? Add the CyberData 010991 Ceiling Tile Reinforcement Mount using the Configuration menu above, or order the 010991 on its own. The electrogalvanized steel bracket spreads the speaker's load across a 24-inch ceiling tile, and CyberData recommends it for weak ceiling tile.
