Setup Instructions for the Plantronics CS540

1. Select Your Headset Wearing Style

  • Choose between:

    • Over-the-ear

    • Over-the-head

  • Use the provided guide to assemble the headset to your preference.

2. Charge the Headset

  • Plug one end of the power supply into the base and the other into a working power outlet.

  • Dock the headset in the base for at least 20 minutes before first use (for a full charge, leave it longer).

3. Connect to Your Desk Phone

  • Connect the cables from your desk phone to the base of the CS540 headset system.

  • Refer to your desk phone’s manual if needed for optimal connectivity.

4. Make a Call

  • While wearing the headset, tap the call control button to activate.

  • Remove the desk phone handset and dial to test.

  • End calls by pressing the call control button and hanging up your handset.

  • Volume/Mute Button:

    • Increase/decrease volume by pressing up/down (if worn on the left side, controls are reversed).

    • Mute: Press in (base LED turns solid red).

  • Call Control Button:
