A 2.4-inch color LCD (320 x 240) keeps call status and soft-key actions in front of the user, and 5-way audio conferencing is built in for quick group calls without a conference bridge.

Sound is HD wideband on the handset and the full-duplex speakerphone, with support for the major voice codecs including G.722 and Opus. An RJ9 headset jack with EHS support covers wired headsets, including Plantronics models with the appropriate EHS cable.

The install is the reason to pick the P model: dual switched 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports with integrated PoE (802.3af) carry power and data over a single cable, with a pass-through port for a PC at the same desk. Two things to know before ordering: the ports are Fast Ethernet, not Gigabit — Gigabit is the separate GRP2612G variant — and this wired model has no built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, which are features of the GRP2612W variant. A power adapter is not included with the GRP2612P; it is powered by PoE, or by a 5V adapter sold separately for desks without PoE.

For administrators, the GRP2612P was designed for mass deployment: zero-touch provisioning and centralized configuration, monitoring, and firmware management through Grandstream's GDMS platform, secure boot, dual firmware images, and encrypted data storage. The swappable faceplate lets a business or service provider put its own logo on every phone in the rollout.

Key specifications

4 dual-color line keys supporting up to 4 SIP accounts

Line keys programmable as up to 16 virtual multi-purpose keys / digital BLF keys

2.4-inch 320 x 240 TFT color LCD

5-way audio conferencing

HD wideband audio — handset and full-duplex speakerphone; codecs include G.722 (wideband) and Opus, plus G.711, G.726, G.729A/B, G.723.1 and iLBC

Dual switched auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports with integrated PoE (802.3af)

RJ9 headset jack with EHS support for Plantronics headsets

Downloadable XML/LDAP phonebook up to 1,000 entries; call log up to 2,000 records

Carrier-grade security: secure boot, dual firmware images, encrypted data storage, SRTP, TLS, 802.1x

Zero-touch provisioning and management via GDMS; TR-069 and AES-encrypted XML configuration supported

Swappable faceplate for logo customization

Dimensions: 203 x 193 x 52.1 mm; unit weight 554 g (listing weight uses Reef's flat 4 lb phone standard)

Wall-mountable (bracket sold separately); 2-position desk stand

What's included: GRP2612P phone, handset with cord, phone stand, network cable, Quick Installation Guide, GPL license.
