That makes it a natural fit for classrooms, offices, medical facilities, and clinics, where a page often needs a reply and nobody should have to walk to a phone to give one.

Installation is a single cable. The speaker runs on Power over Ethernet (802.3af or 802.3at) over a standard 10/100 Ethernet connection, so power and audio arrive on the same drop, and its shallow can and 9-inch grille sit discreetly in a ceiling. Output scales with the power it is fed: 103 dB at one meter on 802.3af, and 105 dB on 802.3at for larger or noisier rooms. Ambient noise compensation measures the room and adjusts the speaker volume to match, and a built-in audio health check can be scheduled or run on demand so IT can confirm a speaker works before anyone reports that it does not.

On the network side, the 011394 is a standards-based SIP endpoint (RFC 3261) that registers to most IP PBX and hosted platforms, and it handles simultaneous SIP and multicast paging — including Poly group paging — so one announcement can reach many speakers at once. Calls are protected with TLS 1.2, SRTP, and HTTPS configuration, and provisioning and management run through the web interface with autoprovisioning support. A built-in relay (1A @ 30 VDC), support for an optional auxiliary analog speaker to extend coverage, an optional Remote Call Button that lets a room initiate a call to a preset extension, and strobe-kit connections round out a speaker built for real paging systems, not just announcements.

Key Specifications

SIP (RFC 3261 compatible) ceiling speaker with talk-back — full-duplex two-way audio when enabled

Ethernet: 10/100 Mbps; power: PoE 802.3af/802.3at compliant (24VDC auxiliary power supply optional, not included)

Audio output: 103 dB @ 1 meter (802.3af) / 105 dB @ 1 meter (802.3at)

Simultaneous SIP and multicast paging; can receive pages directly from Poly phones and other standard multicast sources

Ambient noise compensation and scheduled/manual audio health check with event monitoring

Payload types: G.711 a-law, G.711 µ-law, G.722, G.729

Network security: TLS 1.2, SRTP, HTTPS; 802.1Q VLAN tagging

On-board relay: 1A @ 30 VDC; auxiliary analog speaker output for extended coverage

Dimensions: 9.055 in. grill diameter × 3.08 in. depth; 7.25 in. can diameter

Weight: 3.0 lbs (1.36 kg); boxed weight 4.0 lbs

Color: Signal White (RAL 9003)

Operating range: -40°C to 55°C (-40°F to 131°F), humidity 5–95% non-condensing

Compliance: CE, RoHS, FCC Part 15 Class A, Industry Canada ICES-3 Class A, IEEE 802.3, TAA compliant

Warranty: 5-year limited (manufacturer)

Note: No power supply is included — the speaker is powered by PoE from a PoE switch or injector port.
