The Cisco® AS5350XM Universal Gateway offers unparalleled capacity in only one rack unit (1RU) and provides best-of-class voice, fax, and remote-access services. High density (1 Channelized T3 [CT3] interface for voice over IP [VoIP], low power consumption (as low as 2A at 48 VDC per G.711 CT3), high-density packet voice digital-signal-processor (DSP) modules, universal port DSPs, and session-border-control (SBC) features make the Cisco AS5350XM Universal Gateway ideal for many network deployment architectures, especially co-location environments and mega points of presence (POPs).

The Cisco AS5350XM Universal Gateway doubles the performance of the Cisco AS5350 and delivers significant memory enhancements to offer high performance and high reliability in a compact, modular design. The Cisco AS5350XM High-Density Packet Voice/Fax Feature Card (AS5X-FC) and DSP Module (AS5X-PVDM2-64) enable higher-density configurations and world-class performance for intelligent packet voice services. The Cisco AS5350XM Universal Gateway also supports existing Cisco AS5350 features, trunk termination, and universal port DSP feature cards in a more powerful chassis to help ensure continuing network investment protection. This cost-effective platform is ideally suited for service provider and enterprise environments that require innovative voice, fax, and data services.
